Knight Energy Services are specialists in the sampling and analysis of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW).

This includes the Composition Analysis of: Kerbside collected household residual waste, mixed dry recycling and organic waste streams.

As well as undertaking sampling for operational plants, we also offer participation and capture rate analysis, providing data to assess the performance of kerbside collection schemes & waste revenue return.

We have a large scale test centre facility where composition and size analysis is undertaken in a safe environment operated under our 9001 quality management system, analysis can include:


  • Composition and fuel analysis to report Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) to Ofgem
  • Size analysis undertaken to specific client requirements
  • Sampling and composition analysis undertaken to produce a full material and mass balance

Our experienced team of Technical Managers and waste analysts are able to undertake full scale plant performance testing over an extensive period of time and are able to undertake composition analysis of the resulting large scale samples.
